சில பைத்தான் தொகுப்புகளின் வெளியீடு

இரண்டு பைத்தான் சொற்பிழை திருத்திகளை சமிபத்தில் எளிதாக பயன்படுத்தும் வண்ணம் “பொட்டலம்” போட்டேன். அதாவது மளிகைக்கடைகளில் அரிசி பருப்பு வகைகள் சாக்குகளில் இருந்தாலும் மொத்தவிலை கடைகளில்லாமல் தனியார் செல்லும் நகர கடைகளில் இவை பொட்டலங்களாக “பாக்கேட்” செய்து, நமது நேர நெருக்கடிக்காக, விற்கப்படும். அதே போல பல நல்ல நிரல்கள் பொதுவிலும், கிட் ஹபிலும் இருந்தாலும், இவற்றை பொதுவில் நிரலர்கள் பயன்படுத்த நாம் இதனை பொட்டலம் செய்தும், அரிசியில் கற்களை பொறக்கியெடுத்தும் சீர்செய்து மளிகைக்கடைக்காரர் செய்வார் இல்லையா, பரிசோதித்தும் வெளியிட்டுள்ளேன்.

Today, we are releasing Open-Tamil v0.95 via Python package index here.

எழில்-open-tamil contributors meetup (2018). படம் – உபயம் : திரு. சீனிவாசன்.

In this release there are few new items and routine improvements.

1. Indian Rupee sign parsing

2. Package tamil-sandhi-checker with open-tamil

3. Tamil Morse code module added to package

4. Remove Python 2.x support with sunsetting from PSF
5. Valai – package of web ReST API for some spellcheckers

இன்று Open-Tamil வரிசை எண் 0.95 வெளியீடு ஆனது.  இந்த நிரல் தொகுப்பு முற்றிலும் திறமூல MIT உரிமத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. இதனை கொண்டு நீங்கள் பைத்தான் கணினி மொழியில் தமிழ் மொழி ஆய்வுகளை செயல்படுத்தலாம்.
உதாரணமாக இரண்டு திறமூல சேவைகள்/செயல்பாடுகள் (அதாவது எழில், தமிழ்சந்தி மற்றும் தமிழ்பேசு-வலை என்பவற்றை தவிற்த்து [எங்கள் குழுவினர் அல்லாதவர்]) பயன்பாட்டில் பொதுவெளியில் உள்ளது தெரியவந்தது-
 1) பைதமிழ் என்ற (அவலோகிதம் போல) வேண்பா திரிப்பு நிரல் தொகுப்பு (library), மற்றும் 
2) வென்முரசு தோடர்நாவலை உரை-பகுப்பாய்வு செய்யவும் ஒரு செயலி என்றபடி உள்ளது.

இந்நிலையில் இந்த வெளியீட்டில் உள்ளவை,

1. தமிழ்சந்தி என்ற விருது பெற்ற திருமதி. நித்தியா-திரு. சீனிவாசன் அவர்களது படைப்பான  தமிழ் சந்திப்பிப்பிழைத்திருத்தி  இந்த தொகுப்பில் இடம் பெற்றது. இதில் நாற்பது விதிகளுக்கும் மேல் சந்திப்பிழைகளை கண்டரிய வசதிகள் உள்ளது.

2. தமிழ் மோர்சு என்ற தந்தி குறிகளை தமிழில் கையாள இது உதவுகிறது.

3. வலை என்ற நிரல் தொகுப்பில் திரு. நீச்சல்கீரன் அவரது வாணி  மற்றும் தமிழ்பேசு சொற்பிழை திருத்தியை இணையம்வழி கையாள வசதிகள் உள்ளன.

தொழில்நூட்பங்கள்

ஒரு மூத்த கணினி நிரலாளரின் கூற்றின் படி ‘கணினித்துரையின் கோட்பாடுகள் கண்டறிந்து சில பத்தாண்டுகளே ஆனது. இதில் உள்ள கோட்பாடுகள் இயற்க்கை அறிவியலால் கட்டுப்பட்டதல்ல’ என்ற பொருளில் இந்த படைப்பை நான் பாற்க்கிரேன்.

உரை-ஒலி மாற்றியில் பல digitial signal processing சவால்கள் உள்ளன. இவற்றை படிப்படியாக கடந்த பெருமை, உழைப்பு, பாராட்டுக்கள் பேரா. திரு. தி. நாகராஜன் [SSN பொறியியல் கல்லூரி] -யை சேரும். இவரது தலைமையில் unit-selection-synthesis என்ற முறையில் Festival என்ற எடின்புரூ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஆராய்ச்சி தளத்தின்வாயில் இவரது தமிழ் மொழி ஆராய்ச்சிகள் இருந்திருக்கின்றன.

Festival – இதன் வாயில் இன்று ஒரு தமிழ் திருவிழா

ஆனால் இந்த இவரது ஆராய்ச்சிகள், இந்திய அரசின் வரி பணத்தில் ஒரு பங்கில் இருந்து வந்தாலும், இது எளிதில் பொது வளியில் இந்த மென்பொருள் வெளிவரவில்லை; இதற்கு தகவல் தொழில் நூட்பம் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் [RTI] திரு. சீனிவாசன் சென்ற ஆண்டு முயற்சிகள் எடுத்தும் வழி நடத்தியும், தனது பணிகளினால் இந்த மென்பொருளை பொது வெளியில் பயன்படுத்தும் அளவில் கொண்டுவந்தார்.

இது இரண்டு மட்டுமே நமக்கு இன்ரு கணியத்தில் இந்த சேவை கிடைக்க மூல காரணமாக இருக்கிரது. கணியம் ஆசிரியர் அவரது வெளியீட்டில் வலை சர்வர் மென்பொருள் கட்டமைப்பு அதனை உருவாக்கியவர்கள் பற்றியும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

கணியம் அறக்கட்டளை, IIT-SSN கூட்டனி, மேலும் அயராமல் உழைத்து பொது மக்கள் பயன்பாட்டிற்கு இந்த தொழில் நூட்பங்களை வழங்கிய அனைவருக்கும் இதயம்கனிந்த நன்றி! வாழ்க, வளமுடன்.

Open-Tamil v0.7 release

I’m happy to announce Open-Tamil 0.7 release, today 23^rd March, 2018. Open-Tamil is distributed under MIT license, and available for Python 2.6, 2.7, 3+ and PyPy platforms, via the Python Package index at https://pypi.python.org/pypi/Open-Tamil/0.7

You can install the package via ‘$ pip install –upgrade open-tamil’ command issued in your console.

Following updates are made to the Python package:

1. Series of command line tools will be installed into your Python (for Windows) or local/bin directory (for Linux) with this release. The command line tools are,

    

1. tamilphonetic – convert EN input to Tamil text

2. tamilwordfilter – filter Tamil input only from all input text data

3. tamilurlfilter – filter Tamil text from the input website data

4. tamiltscii2utf8 – convert encoding from TSCII to UTF-8 for input file

5. tamilwordgrid – generate a crossword from Tamil input text and write to output.html file

6. tamilwordcount – like UNIX wc program but for Tamil

2. Transliteration package updates: Reverse transliteration functions is added; Univ of Madras scheme support is added.
3. Tamil package: added text summarizer tool via module ‘tamil.utils.SummaryTool’
4. Solthiruthi package updates: To do spell checking reasonable times and ability to identify and correct many classes of errors are added.
5. Bug fixes for issues in get_letters(), tamil.numeral, added capability for generating string version of numerals in Tamil [previously only numeric version was supported]

In addition to the package, a web interface was developed for Open-Tamil in Django hosted at http://tamilpesu.us for demonstrating some of our capabilities.

We like to thank all our contributors in general, and in particular those members who contributed new code or bug fixes going into this release.

This is collective work of our team underlying the website (written in Django+Python) highlighting various aspects of open-tamil like transliteration, numeral generation, encoding converters, spell checker among other things. At this time I hope to keep the website running through most of this year, and add features as git-repo https://github.com/Ezhil-Language-Foundation/open-tamil gets updated.

Thanks to Mr. Syed Abuthahir, many months ago, in winter of 2017, he has developed an interface for open-tamil on the web and shared with us under GNU Affero GPL terms. Later, we is added as part of main open-tamil as well.

Ezhil code-freeze | rc1 v0.99

At Team Ezhil we proposed to declare code-freeze for Ezhil for reaching v1.0 stable builds on major platforms. In this regard today the release candidate 1 for v0.99 is ready. During this process we addressed some long standing interpreter (core) bugs and updated examples for aesthetic comments.

1. Windows 64b package at  ezhillang.org, source forge.
2. Linux (Ubuntu 64b amd/x86) package at ezhillang, source forge.
3. People interested to build for other platforms (Mac OSX, Fedora and Win32) are requested to get in touch with ezhil team.

At this time I welcome:

• contributors and reviewers to use and provide early feedback before final version is released.
• Errors by omissions and additions or typos are requested to be brought to our attention.
