Since the release of our paper, Tools for constructing AI/ML Solutions in Tamil, in 2022 Tamil Internet Conference in Thanjavur, India, we have progressed to a realization that next frontier of Tamil computing has largely moved along with the tidal wave of AI/ML developments in the industry.
To this extent we will only accept bug reports and migration updates (to new platforms, python versions) for the Open-Tamil repository; today this repository will go into public archive. The software and bug fixes will continue to be available through the Python Packaging repository and Github.
This is our announcement of end-of-life for active development the product and beginning of long-term maintenance mode.
I sincerely thank each and every one of our contributors, bug reporters, users and sponsors. Thank you for your support during this journey.
